About us
In Camden we are committed to working together to make our borough the best place to live, work, study, and visit. Partnership with our communities is central to the way we work, so that everyone can access opportunities, and nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all. Housing is one of Camden’s biggest challenges – and biggest opportunities for change. We are now recruiting to an exciting new role – the Housing Change and Transformation Lead. This role will sit at the heart of our work to transform housing services aligned with our We Make Camden ambitions – focusing on delivering high-quality and person-centred services and building relationships across the Council.

The role
Our new Housing Change and Transformation Lead will provide leadership and direction to teams and colleagues with a focus on our shared vision for housing services.

This role will drive forward our housing transformation programme – providing strong and responsive leadership to this complex programme of work. We are ambitious for change in housing services that ensures we are delivering the best services for our residents – but also that we are improving the support functions that ensure we are able to know how our services are performing and direct resources to the right places.

The Housing Change and Transformation Lead will play a leadership role in our housing transformation work – their key programmes of work will include:

• Delivering a strategic vision for change – work collaboratively across Housing services and teams, and with wider organisational stakeholders, to oversee and align a programme of housing transformation

• Leadership – provide visible and responsive leadership to the work – working closely with senior leadership across the whole organisation and elected members

• Leading teams - lead and support teams to work in a complex and dynamic space with a rigorous focus on outcomes – also supporting colleagues to develop their own practice in pursuit of our housing objectives

• Deepening expertise – drive forward our ambitions around housing policy and change that includes engaging with best practice, sectoral leaders and community leadership to ensure we are at the forefront of thinking about social housing and the role of social landlords

We are really excited about the contribution this role will make to the development of our housing transformation work – working at the heart of our Housing teams but with strong connectivity into working with Strategy, Design and Insight and the wider Strategy Family.
