Are you passionate about creating world-class event experiences that bring people together, inspire action, and deliver measurable business impact?

We're looking for an experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of some of Sage's most important events, from flagship customer conferences and partner events to leadership meetings, sales kick-offs, incentive programmes, and executive experiences.

In this role, you'll combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver engaging, high-quality events that strengthen customer relationships, support commercial goals, and showcase the Sage brand. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple complex projects while ensuring every event is delivered with creativity, precision, and attention to detail.

Overview of the Team
The Events team plays a critical role in bringing Sage's strategy to life through impactful experiences that connect customers, partners, colleagues, and leaders across the globe. We work closely with Marketing, Product, Communications, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and external partners to create memorable events that drive engagement and business outcomes.

As an Event Manager, you'll join a collaborative, supportive team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional attendee experiences. You'll have the opportunity to influence event strategy, work with senior leaders, and contribute to some of the most visible programmes across Sage.

London or Winnersh
Hybrid Working - 3 days per week in our London or Winnersh office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities

You'll be an experienced event professional with a proven track record of delivering large-scale corporate events and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

What you'll be doing;
• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of Sage-hosted events from concept through execution and post-event evaluation.
• Translate business objectives into event strategies that support customer, partner, colleague, and commercial goals.
• Manage all aspects of event delivery including venue sourcing, registration, production, accommodation, travel, logistics, event technology, and onsite operations.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors across the business.
• Manage event budgets, forecasting, supplier negotiations, procurement, and financial reporting.
• Define success measures and event KPIs, analysing attendee feedback and business outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead project teams, agency partners, suppliers, and onsite staff to ensure outstanding execution.
• Champion innovation, sustainability, and best-in-class attendee experiences.

Experience you'll bring;
• 8+ years' experience delivering large-scale corporate events, conferences, or experiential programmes.
• Experience managing complex event portfolios and significant budgets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior executives and leadership teams.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and external agency partners.
• Exceptional project management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with event technology, registration platforms, and attendee engagement tools.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours when required.
• Experience within a global technology, SaaS, or B2B organisation would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of event measurement, marketing attribution, and attendee engagement strategies.
