Join Our Team as a Solution Owner for Defence and Governance Services!

Are you ready to tackle a dynamic role where you can find yourself at the forefront of crafting innovative IT solutions for the Police, Government, and Defence sectors? We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Solutions Owner to join our Solutions Architecture Team within our esteemed IT department.

As a Solution Owner, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the ownership and governance of solutions across the business. Your prime accountability will be to analyse business requirements and transform them into meticulously costed solutions and approaches. You'll be the linchpin between technology leads and the business sector, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of priorities.

What you will be doing:
  • Own the entire IT solution proposition, encompassing application, technology, service, and security whilst maintaining a comprehensive view of project and programme pipelines, finding opportunities and ensuring smooth transitions to solution delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with partners to identify solution requirements and develop key case studies for future solutions.
  • Lead scoping efforts for projects, attending discovery meetings and capturing crucial technical and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of bid and IT change processes, giving to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.


What you will bring:
  • Proficiency in API Management solutions.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure and applications, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions.
  • A deep understanding of integration techniques, particularly APIs, ensuring practical and effective solution integrations.
  • Proficiency in solution modeling, or the ability to clearly communicate solution diagrams.


It would be great if you had:
  • Previous experience as a Pre-Sales Solution Architect, Technical Pre-Sales, or similar roles.
  • Experience working with enterprise solutions and multiple partners.Previous roles in outsourced IT service businesses, especially within Defence, Police, or Government sectors.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of influencing and persuading customers at all levels.

Employment Type: Full-time, hybrid. 1-2x per month in the office.

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
