Sopra Steria's ServiceNow capability is at the start of a sustained period of growth and we are on the lookout for ServiceNow Senior Technical Consultants with expert level knowledge in the development, configuration and implementation of ServiceNow Solutions across the full delivery lifecycle. This role is home based with occasional travel to sites around the UK.
Due to the nature of the projects, we are only able to progress with British Nationals eligible for SC clearance.
What you'll be doing: - Lead the development, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across the full delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Platform Owners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with platform strategy and standards.
- Configure and develop solutions using ServiceNow best practices, leveraging out-of-the-box functionality wherever possible.
- Develop and support integrations using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and third-party platforms.
- Perform technical reviews, code reviews, and impact assessments to ensure quality and compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues and drive continuous improvement, optimisation, and reduction of technical debt.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to developers and consultants.
- Support customer workshops, solution design sessions and deployment planning.
- Contribute to practice development through reusable assets, standards, and innovation initiatives.
What you'll bring: - Hands-on ServiceNow development and implementation experience.
- Strong experience across one or more ServiceNow product areas including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, or IRM.
- Excellent knowledge of:
JavaScript
Glide API
Flow Designer
IntegrationHub
Service Portal
UI Builder
REST/SOAP APIs - Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, CSDM, integrations, governance, and upgrade-safe development practices.
- Experience working within enterprise, managed service, or multi-client environments.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
IT would be great if you had: - Experience with self-hosted or domain-separated ServiceNow environments.
- Discovery and Service Mapping experience.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Jira, SAP, and other enterprise applications.
- Performance Analytics and Reporting experience.

Salary: Up to £70,000
