Senior Category Manager - Outsourcing

Location: Norwich, York, Leeds or Bristol based (50% hybrid working)

Salary: circa £75,000

This is a great job for someone who has strong procurement, category management or supplier relationship management experience and enjoys working in a complex, fast-paced environment. You'll be confident leading commercial negotiations, influencing senior stakeholders, and managing strategic supplier relationships to deliver value, performance and risk management outcomes. This role would suit someone with experience in outsourcing or business process outsourcing (BPO) categories who is passionate about driving commercial excellence and shaping sourcing strategies that support business objectives.

A bit about the job:

As a Senior Category Manager specialising in Outsourcing, you'll play a key role in managing Aviva's third-party spend and strategic supplier relationships. Working closely with business stakeholders, you'll develop and deliver category strategies, lead sourcing and procurement activity, negotiate complex contracts, and ensure suppliers deliver against agreed performance, value and risk requirements. You'll be responsible for identifying commercial opportunities, driving cost efficiencies, managing supplier performance, and supporting outsourcing initiatives that contribute to Aviva's wider business strategy. This is a highly visible role requiring strong collaboration across multiple business areas to deliver the best outcomes for Aviva.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Proven experience in Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) or Commercial Management within a financial services, insurance or regulated organisation.
• Strong track record of leading sourcing activity, negotiating complex commercial agreements and delivering measurable business value.
• Experience managing strategic supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and ensuring contractual obligations are achieved.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
• Knowledge of outsourcing, business process outsourcing (BPO) or complex third-party service arrangements, including associated commercial and operational risks.
