Aviva colleagues from our Sheffield office attend African Caribbean recruitment event
Category: Race, Ethnicity & Heritage, Social Mobility
At Aviva we are committed to ensuring our people are a reflection of all the customers and communities we serve.

We were really keen to support colleagues from our Sheffield office when they recently joined an African Caribbean recruitment event to help break down barriers facing the Black community in accessing jobs and feeling a sense of belonging.
The event was hosted at SADACCA, which is at the heart of Sheffield’s African and Caribbean community and Adira, a survivor led Black mental health and well-being organisation.
Siblings Ishmael and Ellisha both represented Aviva at the event and said: “We really enjoyed being a part of job fair. It gave us the chance to speak with many people of colour and diversity like us. Being able to share our story on how we've moved around within Aviva over the last seven and ten years hopefully shows what a great place it is to work.”

We want everyone to feel welcome at Aviva and we’re focused on attracting, promoting and retaining more ethnically diverse employees – across all levels of our business.
