We're looking for DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineers to join an exciting new programme supporting highly secure, mission-critical systems. You'll join a close-knit team operating at the heart of a secure environment, helping to maintain, support, and continuously improve critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you'll investigate technical issues, drive operational excellence, and contribute to services that make a real impact.
Working onsite in Portsmouth, you'll be surrounded by talented colleagues who genuinely collaborate, share knowledge, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

As part of a 24/7 support team, you'll help ensure the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications and infrastructure while contributing to service improvements, project work, testing activities, and operational development.

Training & Location
For your first six months, you'll complete a structured training programme based in Hemel Hempstead, attending the office 1-2 days per week and working remotely for the remainder. Once training is complete, you'll transition permanently to our Portsmouth site, where the role is fully onsite.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting and managing core infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and operating systems.
• Managing incidents, problems, requests, and changes within an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Investigating and resolving technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving service improvements.
• Monitoring live services to ensure performance, availability, and resilience.
• Supporting project delivery, testing, implementation, and release activities.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, services, and processes.

What you'll bring:

• Experience in infrastructure support, systems administration, or technical operations.
• Strong Wintel experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices.
• Experience working within structured operational environments.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
• Current DV Clearance.

It would be great if you had:

• Experience supporting infrastructure through automation, scripting, or DevOps practices.
• Previous experience in a 24/7 operational support environment.
• Strong infrastructure management experience.

• Exposure to:
  WAN/LAN Networking
  Servers & Storage
  Experience supporting testing, service validation, or release activities.
  Technical documentation and knowledge-sharing experience.
