Home Claims Technical Consultant

Location: Glasgow or Perth

Salary: circa £35,000

We are looking for new colleagues to join our technical claims team, working alongside our home claims teams providing technical advice, development and support.

This is a great job for someone who is politically agile, skilled communicator/conflict manager, adaptable to situations, able to challenge and positively influence others at all levels, internally and externally. A bit about the job:

This role exists to support and develop our Home Claims claims teams across the UK. You'll be part of the Major & Complex Claims (MCC) team, helping to resolve complex home insurance claims and improve technical capability. You'll coach others, write best practice guidance, and lead technical improvements that enhance customer outcomes and cost performance. Your work will directly influence how we deliver excellence in Home claims.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Strong home claims experience gained in a desk-based or field-based role. Experience assessing claims on site and working directly with customers, trades and technical specialists would be an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of insurance principles, building repair processes, fraud and recoveries.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop others.
• Ability to investigate and interpret complex technical information and reach clear, evidence-based conclusions.
• CII/CILA qualification (or working towards), or equivalent technical experience.
