Calling all Senior Public Sector Procurement professionals, we've got a fantastic career opportunity for you!

We're seeking a Senior Procurement Category Manager to join our Digital and IT category management team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing team during accelerated growth across the NHS and Public Sector. You'll take overall responsibility for running a sub-category, developing strategic sourcing programs, and delivering projects within key markets. Delivering highly professional and adaptable client service approach, making a tangible difference to everyone touched by the healthcare system.

This role predominantly home based, with travel to our office based in Salford and to supplier/ client sites when required.

What you'll be doing:
  • Actively being responsible for the marketplace through the development of key strategies for supplier and contract management.
  • Supporting in the delivery of departmental revenue targets, ensuring opportunities for framework growth are identified and implemented.
  • Creating, developing, and handling a category portfolio of compliant solutions, including framework agreements.
  • Developing and implementing short and long-term category strategies.
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of buying staff of various levels.
  • Running multiple programs and developing positive relationship management regimes with key suppliers, ensuring maximum return on investment on commercial spend.

What you'll bring:
  • Public Sector procurement and experience of working with the NHS and/or Public Sector Healthcare.
  • Experience of UK Public Contracts Regulations and the New Procurement Act.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of contract Terms and Conditions.
  • Project management experience.
  • CIPS Level 6 qualified.
  • Prior experience of leading small teams.

It would be great if you had:
  • Knowledge and/or experience of the IT market and its supply chains.
  • Broad knowledge of the tech markets .
  • Understanding of NHS Terms and Conditions.

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
