Job description

Sales Lead - Digital & Data We are growing our Digital & Data sales function and are looking for two Sales Leads to help us identify, shape and secure complex consulting and professional services opportunities.

You will play an important role as we expand our maturity across all areas of the sales lifecycle from responding to live bids towards earlier client engagement, stronger opportunity development and better visibility of the future pipeline.

Working across infrastructure, government and critical national infrastructure markets, you will connect client needs with capabilities spanning data, digital transformation, software, cybersecurity and Operational Technology. Your focus will primarily be UK and Ireland, with opportunities to contribute to selected international pursuits.

What you'll do

You will work with client account teams, capability leads and technical specialists to develop opportunities from early identification through to bid, negotiation and contract award.

This will include building client relationships, understanding upcoming requirements and shaping clear, relevant propositions. You will lead or support pursuit strategies, bring together the right technical and commercial contributors and help create high-quality proposals focused on client outcomes.

This is a hands-on role within a growing sales function. Alongside client engagement, you will contribute directly to bids, presentations and opportunity planning, while helping us improve pipeline visibility and develop more consistent ways of working.

The two roles will operate flexibly across our portfolio in Digital & Data consulting, and Operational Technology cybersecurity. You will bring experience in consultative sales, business development, account development or pursuit leadership within consulting, professional services, technology, infrastructure, engineering or another complex services environment.

You will also have:
* Experience identifying, shaping and progressing opportunities through a multi-stage sales lifecycle
* A strong record of building client relationships and translating needs into clear propositions
* Experience leading or contributing significantly to complex bids and strategic pursuits
* The ability to coordinate technical, delivery and commercial stakeholders within a matrix organisation
* Strong commercial judgement, communication skills and personal ownership

Experience selling digital, data, software, cybersecurity or technology-enabled services would be valuable, as would experience within infrastructure, government, regulated industries or critical national infrastructure.

You do not need to be a technical specialist across every Digital & Data capability. More important is your ability to learn quickly, engage credibly with clients and work closely with specialists to turn technical expertise into meaningful client value.

You will be proactive, practical and comfortable working in a growing function where priorities and ways of working continue to develop. You will combine strong relationship-building skills with the willingness to get involved in the detail and help opportunities progress.

At Jacobs, we deliver solutions that matter. You will have the opportunity to build trusted client relationships, shape complex Digital & Data opportunities and contribute to the continued development of our sales function. If you are ready to take ownership, work collaboratively and help turn client challenges into valuable solutions, we would welcome your application.
