Cost and Resource Manager Location: York or BristolSalary: Circa £45kThis is a great job for someone with the ability to take ownership of ensuring all workstreams provide inputs to financial processes in a timely manner and provide quality assurance on their adherence to finance processes.
A bit about the job:Plan A is a highly material transformation of the UK Life (IWR) business. The total costs of the transformation are forecast to be c. £400m. To ensure costs remain under control and the programme is correctly resourced to deliver, it is important that we have oversight of current and future resourcing demand for this Programme and associated central costs.
The Costs & Resource Manager will co-ordinate the tracking and analysis of our Central Programme costs and responsible for delivering against resourcing requirements for the programme overall. The role will be working with internal and external stakeholders understand the demands of the programme, skills required, and ensure robust processes around on/off boarding people into the programme. This role will be a key component to the success of the programme, providing reassurance to our Steer Co and IWR Transformation team that resource mobilisation plans are progressing in line with expectations or, identifying early where risks could crystallise into issues then lead corrective actions to ensure we keep on track.
The role will be responsible for the co-ordination of resource requests into IWR business units and functional support areas, providing a single POC for resource queries across Plan A.
Skills and experience we're looking for:- Good working knowledge of managing resourcing demands across a breadth of stakeholders and experience of managing a cost centre.
- Highly numerate and adept at Office software packages, notably Excel.
- Experience of Planview.
- Strong interpersonal skills to drive effective interaction with business leads and budget owners.
- Working towards an accounting or project management qualification (desirable, not essential).

- Salary Circa £45k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
