Job Title: EMEA Capital Planning Lead Reports To: EMEA PjM Lead Location: London Position Purpose To support and grow Capital Planning, Cost and Commercial management and assurance services including Capital Planning and Capex Management within the EMEA region to achieve the company's strategic business objectives.
Responsible for leading capital projects planning and commercial management support to all EMEA projects taking a lead on capital planning.
Support the EMEA PMO in managing and reporting the commercial performance of all capital projects, leading on annual capital planning, commercial initiatives (e.g. benchmarking, procurement etc.) and continuous improvement across all EMEA projects and PMO workstreams. Responsible for compiling financial reports and summarizing analysis; ensure the completeness and accuracy of data/information received and produced. Focus on reducing reliance on external consultants and building a dedicated on-account cost team.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the PMO Capital Planning, Cost and Commercial Team including management of external cost/commercial relationships
- Strategic commercial and procurement advice and support to client stakeholders
- Support the EMEA PjM lead and projects teams (including CBRE and external cost managers) on reporting monthly projects' commercial performance
- Support the EMEA PjM lead and projects teams in creating and managing capital plans with the capital planning team
- Support the PjM lead on tracking changes in preparation for monthly project reporting
- Coordinate and lead project commercial support on all necessary data inputs and integrity
- Review project budgets/estimates to ensure accuracy of cost type allocations and commitments/spends (Capital v Expense)
- Review accuracy of financial close out forms
- Support PjM data excellence, review data accuracy across various systems
- Assist in gatekeeping CBRE's KPIs
- Ensure compliance with processes in accordance to GSA and CBRE's guidelines
- Networking of CBRE EMEA commercial teams to ensure up to date market rates are maintained
- Build a benchmarking database to maintain a relevant estimating tool for all project types
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned to support the team
Essential Skills/ Requirements - Demonstrable Strategic leadership capabilities with experience in leading diverse internal and external commercial teams
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) an advantage
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience related to all aspects of leading complex Commercial/Cost Management teams in relation to Project Management or Quantity Surveying
- Strong financial/analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
- Strong presentation skills
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel minimum
- Excellent verbal/written communication (English), negotiation and presentation skills
- Prove n record of excellent internal and external customer service
- Ability to engage the organization, the customer and key stakeholders and establish a high level of credibility
- Willing to work in a diverse team environment
- Strategic thinker with a strong action/results orientation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively and establish priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
- Minimum 3 days per week in client London office
