Faith Network at CBRE

The CBRE Faith Network aims to raise awareness about faith in the workplace and to encourage people from all religions to feel comfortable about discussing their faith without any stigma.   

To achieve this, the Faith Network has implemented a four-pronged approach: 

• Representation: The Faith Network will have a representative from each of the four main religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Hinduism) whose role it will be to act as a point of contact for employees who want to discuss their faith, whether it is to discuss local areas of worship or to pray and celebrate together.  
• Awareness: Raising awareness of the Faith Network is best achieved by hosting company-wide events around major celebrations such as Diwali and Hanukkah. This will help to bridge the gap between people of different faiths and to allow people to feel more comfortable discussing fait in the workplace.  
• Collaboration: CBRE has a number of networks that are well established which the Faith Network can learn from and share resources with.  By collaborating with networks such as the Multicultural Network, the Faith Network can tap into other networks and resources to raise the profile of and to get people talking.  
• Education: With over 10,000 employees in the UK, reaching every employee in the company can only be achieved by ensuring that company literature, where relevant, mentions the existence of the Faith Network. This will help to spread the relevance of the Faith Network far beyond London and into other CBRE offices across the UK. ​​​​​​​

Prayer /Contemplation Rooms at CBRE 

As part of our Diversity and Inclusion strategy, CBRE is committed to enabling staff to have access to prayer and worship, or quiet contemplation facilities, where feasible. Accordingly, and where possible we have created designated rooms in some offices which can be used for the specific purpose of prayer or contemplation. These rooms can be used by people of all faith groups and beliefs or as a space for quiet contemplation.
