Ability at CBRE

CBRE's Ability Network is our newest network that provides support to people with disabilities, long-term conditions and allies of people with disabilities.

Diverse perspectives yield better outcomes, and the ability to invite and learn from different perspectives is fundamental to driving innovation, building strong relationships, and providing the best solutions for our clients.

We focus on enabling all of our people to reach their potential by leveraging their own unique strengths and perspectives. Our culture helps differentiate CBRE from other property organisations and helps us to attract and keep our best people. 

Ability has five communities within the network for people who might have specific interests, which are:​​​​​​​

• Physical and mobility – This will include mobility conditions such as cerebral palsy, amputations and people with musculoskeletal injuries.
• Long term health conditions – These conditions will have a long-term impact on someone's health and might include, diabetes, asthma, cancer, IBS, sickle cell anaemia, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's Disease, ME.
• Mental health conditions – These conditions include anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, eating disorders like bulimia and anorexia, obsessive compulsive disorders and stress.
• Neurodiversity – This is an umbrella term for neurological differences such as Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and ADHD.
• Sensory – This will include deafness, hard-of-hearing or visual impairment. Some people may also experience Anosmia which is a loss of smell and may require consideration for adjustments.
