The REACH Network provides a support network for CBRE professionals from various ethnic, religious and social backgrounds, as well as an accessible and personal educational platform for the UK business and wider industry.

Aims

Create a culture which embraces the race, ethnic diversity and cultural heritage of employees at CBRE ultimately leading to an environment where we all believe that we can bring our whole self to work and thrive. 

• Achieve representative of 15% BAME employees at each level by 2025.
• Address the impacts of intersectionality and how this may further impact an individual's opportunities within the workplace. 

Objectives

• Commit to delivering high quality events on a regular basis to engage different audiences within CBRE. Each event will have a learning outcome and/or provide a safe space for individual expression to take place. 
• Collaborate with internal and external networks on an ongoing basis to ensure that CBRE and the wider real estate industry are working together to create an inclusive culture for all employees.
• Ensure the REACH Executive Sponsor represents the interests of BAME employees at board level.
• Work closely with our core business functions and act as advisor to the D&I Manager and People team in matters concerning the recruitment and retention of BAME employees. 
• Seek that CBRE undertakes a data audit to understand whether a pay or promotion gap exists between BAME employees and their counterparts. If the data indicates that BAME employees are in fact disadvantaged by the current systems in place, advise the business on solutions which may be implemented to remove this disparity.
