BPA Deal Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) Deal Team in York.

We are looking for new talent to help develop and implement de-risking solutions for trustees of defined benefit pension schemes.

As a key part of a multi-disciplined team of professionals, you will be working on a portfolio of high-value transactions and have a real opportunity to make a difference for our clients and help deliver compelling, commercial results for Aviva.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, with the drive to challenge and influence what we do and ensure we meet our goals.

Skills & experiences required:

• Actuarial students making excellent progress through their exams or equivalent actuarial/administration/technical experience
• Ability to pick up new concepts quickly, apply judgement and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Specific experience of actuarial cash flow modelling, experience of sense checking and bulk annuity modelling would be an advantage
• Detailed knowledge of UK defined benefit pensions and related legislation would be a significant advantage.
• Strong communication skills: ability to present technical information clearly and build relationships with internal/external customers

• Salary ranges from £40,000 - £52,000 ( Depending on skills, experience and qualifications)
• Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
