Job description

AI Advisory Consultant - Governance & Responsible AI Artificial Intelligence is transforming how organisations operate, but delivering value from AI requires more than technology alone. It requires the right governance, controls and confidence to ensure AI is deployed responsibly, safely and effectively.

As a Senior Consultant within Jacobs' newly established AI Advisory team, you'll help clients navigate that challenge. You'll support organisations across multiple sectors as they develop the governance, risk management and responsible AI capabilities needed to adopt AI with confidence.
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team at an early stage of its development, helping shape a new capability while working on some of the most significant infrastructure, engineering and technology challenges facing organisations today.

What you'll do
You'll work directly with clients and senior stakeholders to help them understand, assess and govern AI technologies in a practical and proportionate way.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary advisory team, you'll support the development of governance frameworks, operating models, risk assessments and responsible AI approaches that enable organisations to innovate while managing risk. You'll help clients improve AI maturity, navigate evolving regulation and establish governance structures that work in practice.
Beyond client delivery, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a fast-developing capability, supporting proposals, new service development and thought leadership activities as the team expands. We're looking for someone with a strong consulting mindset who enjoys engaging with clients, solving complex problems and helping organisations navigate change.

* You'll bring experience in areas such as AI governance, data governance, technology governance, technology risk, digital risk, compliance, model risk management or responsible technology. Experience working directly with clients or senior stakeholders is particularly important, along with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and confidently.
* You'll have an understanding of governance frameworks, risk management approaches and relevant standards or regulations such as ISO 42001, the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF or similar. We are open to candidates from broader governance, risk or advisory backgrounds who are looking to apply their experience within the rapidly evolving AI governance space.

* Experience within consulting, infrastructure, engineering or other complex regulated environments would be advantageous.

Ready to help shape the future of AI governance?

At Jacobs, you'll join a growing team at the forefront of responsible AI adoption, working alongside experts across strategy, governance, cybersecurity, information management and engineering. You'll have the opportunity to influence the development of a new capability, support major clients across multiple sectors and help organisations realise the benefits of AI in a safe and responsible way.

If you're excited by the opportunity to combine governance, consulting and emerging technology in one of the fastest-growing areas of advisory services, we'd love to hear from you.
