You will be responsible for delivering quality technical consultancy to Capita's housing customers. Customer interaction will form a part of the consultancy required to capture detailed requirements and deliver services in accordance with the agreed expectations or contractual obligations.

Capita is Looking for a Technical Consultant - Homebased

The post holder will be expected to be a highly motivated and customer-centric individual who works well within the team and aims to reach and exceed targets and standards set by the Technical Consultancy Solutions Team Leader.

You will be responsible for delivering quality technical consultancy to Capita's housing customers. Customer interaction will form a part of the consultancy required to capture detailed requirements and deliver services in accordance with the agreed expectations or contractual obligations.

What you will do:

• Scope the requirements for bespoke solutions such as third-party integration or customer specific web portals, produce a specification or Work Package for the work along with clear estimates and ensure that they meet the requirements for all stakeholders.
• Develop, test, implement and maintain custom solutions for customers, to allow a degree of variation in the operation of standard components of Capita's ONEHousing, OPENHousing, OPENAccess software suite.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of Progress 4GL development environment, Progress Webspeed, Progress AppServer technology used in our browser of choice, cloud ready, ONEHousing application.
• Undertake detailed investigations of issues reported by our Housing customer base and provide workarounds and solutions in a timely manner.
• There may occasionally be requirement to work evenings and weekends for scheduled work, which is paid at overtime rates.

What we're looking for:

• Hands on experience in Web Technologies - HTML, Javascript, JSON, XSLT, XML
• Proven ability to analyse and solve problems.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to see solutions through to completion.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• Understanding of Housing management software and databases.
• Microsoft product support (Windows server, SQL server, IIS)
• The desire and aptitude to continuously learn new skills and ability to learn quickly.

One Technical Services provide technical expertise to Capita One customers and to the Capita One business. The team has a primary remit to provide technical consultancy services to Capita's Housing customer base.
