The Opportunity

We're seeking a high-performing sales professional with a proven track record of building and converting strategic opportunities across the Home Office and wider Central Government landscape.

You'll be responsible for developing and executing a market strategy that identifies new growth opportunities, strengthens existing customer relationships and accelerates DXC's position as a trusted transformation partner across government.

Success in this role requires more than sales experience. We're looking for someone who understands the political, commercial and operational drivers shaping government organisations and can engage confidently with senior stakeholders to develop solutions that deliver measurable business and citizen outcomes.

You will take ownership of the full business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through to pursuit leadership, bid strategy, commercial negotiations and contract award.

Working closely with account teams, consulting specialists, solution architects and delivery leaders, you'll help create compelling propositions that solve complex customer challenges while delivering sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on the Home Office and wider Central Government sector.
  • Identify, qualify and pursue strategic opportunities that align to DXC's growth objectives.
  • Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent delivery against revenue and bookings targets.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, influencers and stakeholders across government departments and agencies.
  • Establish DXC as a strategic partner capable of delivering long-term transformation outcomes.
  • Shape and lead complex technology and business transformation pursuits from inception through to contract award.
  • Develop winning strategies, value propositions and customer engagement plans.
  • Work collaboratively with consulting, alliance, delivery and solution teams to create innovative customer solutions.
  • Contribute to account planning and growth strategies across new and existing customers.
  • Represent DXC at industry events, conferences, customer forums and networking engagements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of government priorities, procurement frameworks and market trends.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines sector expertise, commercial acumen and a passion for helping customers achieve meaningful transformation.

You'll bring:

  • A demonstrable track record of winning and growing business within the Home Office and/or Central Government sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UK government procurement frameworks, buying processes and commercial models.
  • Experience selling complex technology, digital transformation, consulting or managed services solutions.
  • The credibility and confidence to engage and influence senior executive stakeholders.
  • A consultative approach with the ability to understand customer challenges and align solutions to strategic objectives.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • A growth mindset, high levels of personal accountability and a passion for delivering results.

Experience within cloud, cyber security, AI, data, digital transformation, applications, infrastructure services or consulting environments would be highly advantageous.
