World Autism Awareness Day with DXC Dandelion Program

On World Autism Awareness Day, we’re proud of the support we’ve provided the neurodivergent community through the DXC Dandelion Program for over a decade. We recognise the challenges still faced by neurodiverse people today and are in a unique position to help drive positive change.

 

Our award-winning program opens the doors to meaningful, sustainable careers, provides valuable IT and workplace skills, and offers ongoing support. We are honoured to see this program thrive globally, with over 350 employment opportunities created across Australia, Europe, and Asia, and still growing.

​In collaboration with the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre at La Trobe University and ANZ Bank, DXC has co-developed a groundbreaking mental health toolkit designed to support autistic employees in the workplace. This resource, titled "Supporting a Neurodiverse Workforce," offers evidence-based strategies to foster mental well-being, create autism-friendly work environments, and address specific challenges such as anxiety and depression. Notably, the toolkit was co-designed with input from individuals on the autism spectrum, their support workers, colleagues, and managers, ensuring its relevance and effectiveness in real-world settings.​

Expanding its global reach, the DXC Dandelion Program has recently launched in Italy, offering software application development roles in Rome through a partnership with Untapped Talent. This initiative continues the program's mission to provide neurodivergent individuals with meaningful employment opportunities, comprehensive training, and ongoing support, further solidifying DXC's commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces worldwide.​
