R0249221-PSC Junior Production Manager

Location-Fareham

Primary Purpose of the Role:

As a Junior Production Manager, you will be working with production staff and Team Leaders in both Fareham and Nest and supporting the PSC Production Manager.

Working closely with other members of the site team, you will actively promote all lean concepts and be the lead on improvement projects for the PSC. The successful candidate will have a methodical and process driven mind-set, and with solid people management skills.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Lead complex improvement projects.
  • Improve process and systems to improve performance.
  • Support the investigation of customer complaints and drive any corrective actions through the training process
  • Verify effectiveness of, and improve, quality assurance system using lean methods.
  • Dominant focus on all process improvement within the PSC.
  • Focus on coaching and development of all team members.
  • Lead/implement any change in process or equipment.

Skills and Experience

Skills:

Essential
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Strong leadership skills are required.
  • Ability to lead change.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative and should also be able to work efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Need to possess a positive team-orientated approach.
  • PC skills are required.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable
  • Good numeracy skills
  • A working knowledge of lean methodology

Experience:

Essential
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable
  • Experience of rolling out training to individuals and groups is desirable.
  • Previous experience of operating PC-based machines in a Personalisation department is desirable
