This newly created role, within the Enfield Pension Team will lead on data management, projects, and system development.

This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the Pension Team forward in continual innovation and increased automation. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic pensions professional who share's our commitment to provide excellent customer services to our members and scheme employers.

This key role will be responsible for a small team and will not only lead on data management but will also deliver projects like the National Pension Dashboard onboarding. The successful candidate will be part of a management team that works together to ensure a high level of service delivery.

About you, if you are a strong 'hands-on', technically literate person with project planning skills who can manage a small team and has experience in the pensions field, particularly within the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), we would love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:
  • To ensure continual high-level data integrity of the Funds membership information.
  • To oversee, maintain and develop the pension system 'Altair' working in partnership with the software provider.
  • To project manage, investigate, develop, design, and deliver a complex and far-reaching programme of work which includes managing casework and projects such as: insights reporting and development of the member self-service portal.
  • Lead on the implementation of system changes as a result of amendments to regulations and the production of statutory forms e.g., annual benefit statements within statutory deadlines.

Candidate requirements:
  • Experience in maintaining a pensions administration IT system
  • Experience of testing and updating pensions administration software
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework of the LGPS or experience working for or with such a scheme
  • Creative and innovative approach to project management from planning to delivery.
  • Strong IT skills and experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer services skills
  • Supportive team leader able to encourage and develop fellow team members
