Ethnic Minority Network at Enfield Borough Council

We are committed to addressing the low representation of staff from black and ethnic minority backgrounds in leadership roles within the council. This group was set up to drive the agenda and deliver initiatives that will bring lasting change.

They aim to remove the barriers to career progression that prevent staff developing and working to their full potential.

The network promotes the inclusion of staff from ethnic minority backgrounds in all areas of the council. They welcome the diversity of staff and embrace their rich cultural heritage in the workforce.

Black History Month is one of the most prominent cultural celebrations in The Ethnic Minority Network's calendar. We are excited to present an amazing line-up of events to celebrate the history and culture of Black communities during the month of October.

The national theme this year is: Time for Change: Action Not Words.   As well as acknowledging the past, it's important to note that Black Britons are more than their contributions to the UK. It is also about everyone working together to improve the future with actions, not just words. The Ethnic Minority Network also calls on our friends and allies to stand up to racism and discrimination with us to achieve a better world for everyone.
