CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Shift Technician to join the team located in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.

• Respond to Building Management System alarms and effect emergency repairs as needed.

• Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.

• Ensure that Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.

• Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.

• Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of electronic recording on REALM.

• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments (including Dynamics Risk assessments) are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.

• Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes.

• To develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE services staff and clients' staff

• Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.

• Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.

• Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long learning.

• Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks as required within across HV and LV distribution systems, associated plant / equipment and HVAC mechanical cooling / heating systems as determined by the CMMS system's work orders.

• Building walk-rounds, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and utilities

• Investigate faults, identify causes and effect remedies.

• Prepare accurate / timely reports as required.

• Ensure corrective / repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations

• Assist when and where required with installation works

• Participate in emergency call out roster providing cover for team member absences, as required.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings their layouts, functions and complexities.

• Establish and develop trusting relationships with Facilities Managers, Client staff and representatives.

• Endorse day-to-day and future compliance to safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.

• Volunteer ideas/initiatives that contribute to the service levels and delivery.

• 12 hours rotating shift

• Awareness of Change processes and Critical works being undertaken on the premises.

• Ensure that correct PPE is being worn and utilised at all times.

• Completion of Risk Assessments as required.

• Key focus for this role is to ensure that all FM services are delivered in a confident and efficient manner.

• Service orientated attitude combined with innovative thinking.

• Self-motivated and professional manner

• Good communication skills

• Basic knowledge of MS office applications

• A level of IT literacy - Word, Excel, Outlook, Client on line systems.

• Report writing.

• Smart & presentable.

• Ability to speak with clients on behalf of Citi.

• Self-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity

• Able to work well both in a team and alone.

• Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high-pressure environments.

• Courteous and presentable as the role is both front and back of house, with exposure to the client at all levels.

• A reasonable level of physical fitness will be required as the job entails manual handling both within and between buildings.

• Exhibit at all times an awareness of safety procedures and practices

Experience:

• City & Guilds Electrical Competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent

• Good building services knowledge

• Critical Environment Experience

• Good Customer relationship skills

• Working knowledge of "Permit to work" systems.

• Understand and interpret technical drawings/processes

• Experience of CMMS and BMS systems

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a similar organisation

• Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
