CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Catering Equipment Engineer to join the team located in London. This role is responsible for the implementation of planned preventative maintenance routines necessary to ensure 100% uptime of client operations during normal hours and to assist in customer care and provide assistance to facility teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Focus maintenance and repair within set timeframe and according to defined process, service agreements and customer needs.
Executes day-to-day technical installation and/or deals with service issues.
Completes planned site / customer visits and resolves customer request / calls as dispatched.
Develops positive customer relationships, ensures pro-active feedback on and documentation of the customer's equipment and systems status and of work completed.
Maintenance and servicing to Catering Assets within London contract, including Statutory Insurance and compliance inspections and Portable Appliance Testing.
Diagnoses and repairs catering systems malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge and relevant qualifications as well as an understanding on time and material requirements. Seeks clarification and technical support where needed and escalates issues as appropriate.
Under general supervision, installs, starts up and commissions systems in line with defined regulations, standards, and processes.
Understands and analyses relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams, etc.
Communicates with catering team upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Meets regularly with vendor management team and catering vendor to become familiar with operating problems and reach full understanding of customer needs.
Keeps key stakeholders informed on the nature of service provided outstanding issues, recommends system enhancement/upgrade/replacement and promotes the sale of change orders and/or additional labour & material work.
Supports 24 Hour call-out.
Advises and trains customer in system operations and good practice.
Documents work completed in a clear and concise way and promptly submits service reports.
Ensures compliance with the CBRE safety culture and adheres to all applicable safety standards, requirements, and equipment.
Ensures compliance with environmental and industry regulations, where required.
Familiarisation with equipment across multiple buildings and areas including social hubs, vending areas, client dining, pantries, and kitchens.
Undertake fault finding and first fix for small equipment items such as, but not limited to, microwaves, hydration Taps, dishwashers, and fridges.
Manages warranty period, reporting and tracking defects with installation supplier and catering maintenance vendor.
Ordering and stock management of water softener salt and regular de-scaling of equipment.
Assists with scheduled duct cleaning and escorting of catering equipment maintainers.
In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined.
