Cash Management Assistant

Role Purpose

Cash Management assistant responsible for managing the teams inbox, cash allocations and investigating unallocated cash.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the Priority Payment request inbox and ensure all queries are cleared within strict timelines.

• Process priority, HR salary payments and other urgent payments in a timely manner.

• Process cash book journals to record all payments and Direct Debits

• Maintain the reconciliation of the cash book and ensure all discrepancies are resolved by either Cash Management team or Accounts Payable

• Investigation of legacy unallocated cash. Liaising with clients, credit control and fee earners for remittance advices; liaising with EMEA Controllership team during month end procedures.

• Moving cash between invoices and matching credit notes against invoices; arranging refunds of duplicate payments, overpayments and wrongly received cash

• Sorting and distribution of post.

• Banking and allocating of cheques on a weekly basis.

Person Specification/Requirements

• Experience of working in high volume transactions with a result driven mind-set

• Good interpersonal & Communication skills with the ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority

• Analytical & problem-solving approach

• Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently, being both autonomous & a team player

• Good IT Skills including Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, formulas, etc
