Welcome to VERCIDA website.
Skip to main contentRachel Chambers and David Delaney are passionate about Customer Support Apprentices at Sage. We interviewed them to find out why Apprentices at Sage mean so much to them!
“Customer Service Apprentices are an integral part of Customer Services, supporting our customers and delivering first class customer service on every call. They bring their unique perspective and insights when collaborating with colleagues in various departments, knocking down barriers and supporting our customers to thrive.
Supporting our apprentices through their journey and seeing them grow and reach their potential is what drives us. We have seen many apprentices move on to other roles within Sage, influencing and adding value to other areas of the business, continuing with their unique insights and the skills and tools they have learnt during their 18-month apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is suitable for all, and we don’t require any prior experience. We want to teach you everything we know, and have you teach us different skillsets in return! ”
Joining Sage Customer Support team as an Apprentice is an awesome way to kickstart your career! At Sage, you can be yourself, and will be supported by some truly amazing people, not just in Customer Support, but all through the business.
Follow an approved study programme, and gain a recognised qualification.
Sage apprentices are employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification, usually for one day a week either at a college or a training centre. They follow an approved study programme and gain a recognised qualification at the end of their apprenticeship.
Sage offers apprenticeships in a variety of countries worldwide, including UK, Brazil, France, Germany and South Africa. The exact format of our apprenticeships will vary between countries. Details of each apprenticeship format will be contained within the open-role posting on VERCIDA.
We’re looking for the next generation of business builders, passionate about delivering outstanding customer experience the world over, whilst benefiting from excellent work experience with a FTSE 100 company.
A Sage apprenticeship could lead you to several career paths. Some of our schemes are rotational in nature, giving you access to a wide variety of departments. You may end up choosing to work in a department that you had never considered before! Example of post-apprenticeship roles include customer service agent, people business partner, associate project manager, business analyst and finance analyst.
Many roles within Sage have a global remit, so if you are keen to gain international experience, we could be the choice for you.
Apprenticeship intake dates vary from country to country, but most regions will start recruiting for apprentices between September and December of each year. Apprentices will then join Sage in the following calendar year.
After application, candidates will complete a series of assessments and telephone/video interviews. One of our recruitment team will then contact you to confirm whether you have been shortlisted for assessment centre.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a half or full-day assessment centre at a Sage office site. The assessment centre will normally contain a range of team and individual activities. The assessment centre is also a great opportunity for candidates to find out more about careers at Sage, and the apprenticeship experience.
I finished school in June (when I was 18 years old) and decided to go straight to work in the busy London environment rather than going to university like the majority of my peers. At school, I studied 3 main subjects; Applied Business, Economics and Physical Education. Each of my subjects played an individual part in preparing me for the world of work, whether it be discipline through my sports or time management from prioritising tasks with deadlines.
What Apprenticeship are you undertaking?
I have joined Sage as a Product PR Apprentice, where I am a part of the One Sage Communications Team (a global function). This means that I have exposure to colleagues across the 23 countries that Sage operates in and we work as a team to deliver global projects. So far, I have created a video and social media plan surrounding the hot topic, Artificial Intelligence. Other projects have included attending the House of Commons for Kriti Sharma, VP Artificial Intelligence evidence session, event planning and execution as well as continuously improving my writing skills through various blogs and newsletters.
What is next for you in your apprenticeship?
In the coming months, I hope to continue to work towards my apprenticeship qualification whilst gaining experience and exposure to other teams within Sage, including using my 4 remaining volunteer days with Sage Foundation.
Share your experience, tips and advice with other job seekers on how they can land their dream job. The best contributions will get published!
