Full Time | 37 hours per week | 52 weeks per year

£30,941 - £32,977 per annum

Easton College is seeking an enthusiastic and an industry-expert Agriculture Assessor to join our successful Apprenticeship Team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your agricultural expertise with a rewarding role that has a direct impact on learners, employers, and the future of the sector.

As an Agriculture Assessor, you'll work closely with apprentices across a variety of farming enterprises, helping them build the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for a successful career in agriculture. You'll visit learners in their workplaces, provide guidance and support, and assess their progress throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Apprenticeship Standards You'll Support

• Level 2 General Farm Worker
• Level 3 Crop Technician
• Level 3 Livestock Unit Technician

A Role That Takes You Beyond the Classroom

This is a highly varied position where no two days are the same. You'll spend time out on farms and agricultural businesses across the region, building strong relationships with employers and apprentices while ensuring high-quality assessment and learner support.

As regular travel is an essential part of the role, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has recent, hands-on experience within the agriculture industry
• Is passionate about mentoring, coaching, and developing others
• Holds a TAQA qualification (or equivalent), or is willing to work towards achieving one
• Is organised, self-motivated, and comfortable using a range of digital systems
• Has experience maintaining accurate records and tracking learner progress
• Can build positive relationships with both employers and apprentices

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. From 28 November 2020, changes were made to the DBS filtering rules. As DBS certificates issued before this date may have been produced under different filtering arrangements, we are unable to rely on an Update Service status check for certificates issued before 28 November 2020. In these circumstances, a new DBS application will be required.
