Social Mobility

City College Norwich is proud to announce a new partnership with The William Barry Trust, which has generously donated £50,000 to support students across City College Norwich, Easton College, and Paston College. As one of only three colleges in the UK chosen to receive this funding, the college feels extremely privileged and grateful for this significant investment in its learners.

Gemini said This collage features six panels showcasing a variety of career paths, creative arts, and educational milestones. It highlights diverse fields such as digital media production, culinary arts, automotive repair, and performing arts. The central theme captures the journey from hands-on vocational training to the celebratory moment of graduation.

The £50,000 donation will establish a new charity bursary and scholarship award, enabling more students to access life‑changing opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach. This support strengthens the college’s commitment to equity and inclusivity, by helping learners overcome financial barriers and thrive in their education. It also reflects the college’s pride in working with partners who share its dedication to supporting a diverse student community across a wide rural region.

This funding will be distributed through two schemes: Scholarships and Bursaries.

Please see below for details of the different schemes and how students can be considered for financial support.
