Thales Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) UK is a principal supplier of UAS, EW and Radar equipment to the UK armed forces, as well as an exporter of these capabilities world-wide.

Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) which are revolutionising modern warfare Radars that are capable of detecting foot prints in the grass when someone has walked across a field Digital Radar Electronic Support Measures (RESM) that provides situational awareness and identify threats even in busy Electronic Transmission Environments Radar Electronic Countermeasures (RECM) that can protect assets by denying tactical advantage and distracting incoming threats.

You will be a key member of the Software Development team based at the Thales site in Crawley, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with Thales sites in the UK and overseas.

Key responsibilities range from the design, implementation and test of Human Computer Interface, to Signal processing and middleware products, always keeping in line with the best industry standard tools and methods.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Undertake software development, test and integration activities to verify programme requirements as identified by the Engineering / Software Lead.
  • To specify and prove designs to meet project operational requirements.
  • Supporting the generation of relevant development plans.
  • Contributing to the generation of project cost and schedule information.
  • To ensure the product is delivered on time and to budget
  • Support the management of project risks.
  • Ensure that the project safety and airworthiness requirements are addressed in a manner consistent with company processes.

Skills:

Appreciation of the software life cycle and processes.

Qualifications:

Degree Level: Computing/Software Engineering discipline.
