Senior Staff Nurse

Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital | Fixed Term Contract | Full time | Includes weekend work

Competitive - depending on experience

37.5 hours per week (consideration would be given to part time around 30 plus hours)

This role is Fixed Term contract of 12 months for Maternity Cover

As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Hereford Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:

• Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring

• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be

• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs

• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care

• Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students

• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

Hereford Hospital

The Nuffield Health Hospital in Hereford is located in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and sits just half a mile north of Hereford City Centre. The Ward consists of 20 inpatient beds, 3 day surgery unit beds and a busy ACU with the majority of patients receiving elective Surgical procedures. We cater for both inpatient and day case surgery, providing a broad range of surgical specialties including: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Vascular, Plastics and more.
