Senior Physiotherapist

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital | Physiotherapy | Bank Contract | Part time

Salary - £19 to £23 per hour, dependent on experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability. At least one/two weekend days per month. Optional weekday cover in addition to this.

As a Senior Physiotherapist at our Cambridge Hospital, you'll have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. You also have excellent manual therapy skills, and you're committed to developing as a practitioner. You're a confident communicator, skilled at engaging with all kinds of people.

The Role

This role is to join our bank Physiotherapy team, providing cover for our Inpatient ward. You will see a range of post-operative patients - predominantly elective orthopaedics - and will play a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to. From time to time may also be required to provide treatment to gynaecology and oncology patients.

You will need to be confident and proficient working in inpatient elective orthopaedics, managing TKR, THR, knee and hip arthroscopies, shoulder surgeries, spinal surgery, and foot and ankle surgery.

​You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPs and consultants in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients.

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will:

  • Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence-based, safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive to our patients' needs.

  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes to ensure on-going monitoring of the standards of treatment provided.

Working pattern:

Work will be booked on an ad-hoc basis. We would ideally like the new candidate to cover one or two weekend days per month minimum.
