Senior Healthcare Support Worker

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full time

Between £24,000 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

Our Outpatients Department currently have an opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker at our Wessex Hospital. You can start or continue your health care journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.

As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will:

• Work within a wide range of specialties (Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Urology, Dermatology, ENT, Maxillo-facial, Gastro).

• Assist consultants and nurses with minor procedures, dressings, wound care, phlebotomy, chaperoning and pre-op assessments etc.

• Work in a multidisciplinary team within a variety of areas to ensure continuity of patient care.

• Carry out administrative duties, follow instructions and meet deadlines.

• Engage with clients to understand their needs in a short space of time.

• Learn new skills and experiences to keep updated with the latest knowledge and skills.

To succeed as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will need to:

• Preferably have relevant experience in a hospital or community practice setting.

• Use your organizational skills to ensure day-to-day clinics run smoothly.

• Good IT skills and telephone manner.

• A can do attitude.

• Be flexible, motivated and and excellent communicator.

• Put patient care first.

Wessex Hospital

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women's Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy so we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with specialty outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24 hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
