The role

To present the IFRS17 result to various internal bodies as well as to lead and manage the analysis and reporting of the IFRS 17 group result, and to explain the Group`s performance on an IFRS17 basis. To own various IFRS17 reporting documents, both internal, those for submission to our owner (Fairfax), and to own the relevant sections of our external interim and year end reports.

About you

You`ll be a qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience, and knowledge of general & commercial insurance industry practices. You`ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your well-developed technical understanding of the IFRS17 standard as well as the practical experience of the application of it to Financial Reporting. You`ll also have good technical knowledge and practical experience interpreting and applying UK GAAP.
