£25,761.45 per annum

37.5 hours per week

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dependable individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Team Leader. In this role, you will have a significant impact on maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our hospitals. Our main priority is the well-being of our customers, and you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and pleasant environment for them. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a team of housekeepers, ensuring the hospital is clean and presentable, and actively participating in general housekeeping tasks alongside your team members. By fulfilling these duties, you will contribute to providing a clean and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Additionally, this position will involve supervising a small team of Porters on a temporary basis.

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will:

• To guarantee that cleaning products are used effectively, with instructions and health and safety procedures being followed at all times.

• To monitor and maintain stock levels for the team, ordering stock when required as advised by team and individual awareness.

• To act as the point of contact for the reporting of problems within the work areas or equipment and liaising with the management team to advise.

• To ensure Health and Safety and hygiene requirements within the area of responsibility are met.

• Providing day to day supervision of the team of housekeepers, including: Work scheduling/rotas, Induction, development and training, keeping individual staff records relating to annual leave and sickness absence.

• Ensuring work is carried out to deadlines and within agreed working practices and procedures.

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will have:

• The ideal candidate will have proven, demonstrable experience of leading cleaning staff, you will need to be able to prioritise workloads to ensure that standards are upheld and continuity of service is maintained at all times.

• Your administration duties will include weekly rotas that will need to be produced and maintained, management of the stock ordering and control for the department, carrying out weekly audits and acting on the results as well as maintaining training records for the department.

• The successful candidate will be a good communicator, able to work independently and possess strong team working skills. They will be enthusiastic and self-motivated and possess an eye for detail ensuring our customer experience is of the highest quality. The desired candidate will preferably have previous experience of working within a hospital environment; have good IT skills and customer care training experience.

• Well organized with good time management skills. Have strong interpersonal and empathy skills and a friendly personality.

• Able to work individually and as part of a team.

• Have the Ability to prioritise and plan around customer needs.

Qualifications.

• Relevant experience within a similar environment.

• Experience of supervising staff within a similar environment.
