Head of Services Transformation (UK)

Flexible on location (Belfast, Crawley, Cheadle, Glasgow or Templecombe

Our opportunity

Thales provides world-leading, mission critical systems across land, air, sea, civil and export domains from the sea bed to space (and into cyberspace!). Behind these technical innovations sits a crucial enduring responsibility to collaborate with our customers for the effective enduring support of these systems. The Head of Services Transformation (UK) forms part of the UK Services senior leadership team, responsible for delivering upon our support innovation and improvement promises.

In this role, you will be managing a diverse portfolio of digital transformation, process improvement and operational efficiency project to ensure effective strategy, stakeholder engagement and impactful and effective transformation projects within the portfolio. You will report directly to the UK Services Director and be accountable for the financial performance, delivery and ultimate return of investment and value creation of transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive collaboration and engagement with service delivery programmes and support SMEs to identify impactful transformation projects aligned to company and customer strategic priorities
  • Manage CAPEX and OPEX investment and delivery
  • Line manage a team of direct reporting 'leads', supporting their development and the delivery of their own transformation portfolios
  • Chair digital transformation steering committee and project reviews
  • Support multiple global strategy, policy and delivery initiatives regarding services improvement and enablers
  • Ensure effective scoping, planning and governance of transformation activities
  • Manage Thales UK's 3rd party software tooling policies

About You:

  • Able to engage, influence and manage multiple complex stakeholders in a large multi-national organisation up to C-suite level, able to create meaningful relationships, building deep trust and credibility.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and an ability to work co-operatively with others, creating and harnessing a team spirit within and across other company sites.
  • Demonstrable change leadership behaviours, resilience, tenacity, attention to detail and continuously aiming for excellence.
  • HND, Degree (or equivalent) in a in a Software/IT/IS, or engineering or business subject (or equivalent, including relevant working experience)
  • A Services and/or change leadership background is preferred.
