Purpose of the Role

This is a fundamental role in the Actuarial team, leading on delivery for all aspects of quarterly reserving inclusive of the core reserving process, as well as related regulatory and statutory Actuarial processes including IRFS17 and Solvency II Technical Provisions. You will hold overall responsibility for creating and maintaining the appropriate governance, documentation and controls including setting and managing the reserving policy in line with all internal, regulatory and statutory requirements.

Reporting directly to the Actuarial Director, you will hold responsibility for leading and developing the wider Actuarial team and shaping the direction of this function more widely across the business. You will work collaboratively with a range of Ki stakeholders within claims, risk, outwards reinsurance, portfolio management and algorithm teams, researching new and innovative ways to use forward-looking indicators to predict and enhance Ki`s reserving capabilities.

We are seeking a qualified actuary, with prior experience in managing a team of qualified actuaries and with previous success in leading a reserving function within a Lloyds market insurer. More significantly, you will be excited by the prospect of owning, designing and implementing our reserving process here and Ki, growing and developing a high performing team.
