Digital Service Design LeadThis role can be based at our Reading or Crawley sites- with approx. 40% travel to UK Thales and Customer sitesIf you can answer YES to any of these questions, you could be the Digital Service Design lead we are looking for!

- Is Journey Mapping and Blueprinting your bag?

Overall Responsibilities- Lead, scope, set up and run service design work packages, projects and programmes
- Lead the development of service concepts, blueprints and other service design artefacts that engage, inform and that make actionable recommendations to wider stakeholder groups
- The ability to act as a design mentor to junior team members and other teams alike
Skillset- Understand, analyse and map complex journeys, processes, inputs, outputs and stakeholders
- Deep expertise of workshop facilitation across sectors, complexity of subject matter and levels of expertise
- Experience in working on a wide range of topics (e.g. from physical products to digital apps), ideally
- Experience of developing Design Operations (Ops) capabilities would help the team to formalise actions
- Prototyping: You can use a variety of prototyping methods. You can share best practice and coach others. You can look at strategic service design end to end
Desired Experience- Strong demonstrable visual design and communication skills spanning digital and physical media
- Experience helping organisations become more user-centred and design focused with their own tools, processes and cultures
- Industrial or Product design background would be an advantage
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held; if not currently held it is expected that the post holder will undergo SC Clearance, please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
