St Bartholomew's Hospital | Health | Bank | Part time | Includes weekend work
Up to £30 per hour (+20% at weekends) depending on skills and experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

We have an exciting opportunity for motivated, committed and experienced dietitians to join our bank staff team. You will ideally have at least 2 years prior experience working in an acute hospital setting with relevant registrations and qualifications including HCPC. The ideal candidates will have experience gained through training and post registration experience, including but not limited to one or more of these clinical areas:

• Oncology inpatient and/or outpatient settings

• General surgery

• Critical care

• Outpatient clinics (gastroenterology / nutrition for health)

• Group education (i.e. cardiac rehabilitation)

As a Dietitian you will:

• Undertake nutritional assessments for eligible patients before and/or after elective surgery or cancer treatment

• Support the critical care and ward teams with enteral and parenteral feeding regimes

• Ensure appropriate follow-up after discharge for patients with longer-term nutritional needs

• Support delivery of our outpatient dietetic service

• Deliver group health education - both in-person and remotely - for our cardiac rehabilitation service

• Support the development of and advise on local standard operating procedures and policies

• 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms

• 28 consultation rooms

• Three digital operating theatres

• Cardiac catheterisation lab

• Specialist intensive care beds

• Oncology day unit

• Endoscopy and minor ops theatre

• Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray

We are likely to require review of our inpatients by dietitians at short notice, so living or working nearby to enable you to attend our hospital easily would be an advantage.
