As a BA working within DWP Digital these are some of the things you will be doing:

You will translate business problems and user needs into a set of detailed requirements to deliver value and great outcomes for our users.

You will lead workshops, interviews and focus groups and to effectively understand the business problems and user needs.

You will develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. communicating effectively across both technical and business stakeholders.

You will gain a good understanding of the business processes and activities that impact and that are impacted by the product or service.

You will collaborate with the Product Owner to agree a suitable mix of epics, features & stories for each sprint, as well as contributing towards prioritisation activities.

Person specification

  • Able to demonstrate significant experience of working as a Business Analyst and evidence of carrying out a wide range of analysis activities.

Location

Hybrid Working

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

Salary Information

Pay for this role is from 40,201 to 43,347.

Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview.

Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.

Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater.

Stage 1: Application

Your application will consist of four parts:

1. A Personal Details application form.

2. An online Civil Service Verbal Test.

Please complete the online test as soon as possible (within 24-48 hours is recommended), the closing date for the tests is 23:55 on 06/05/2024. If you fail to complete the online test before the deadline your application will be withdrawn. Guidance for the test will be available when you are invited to take the test. If you successfully pass the test, you will be invited to complete the final stage of the application.

3. Your employment history detailing your responsibilities, skills, accomplishments, plus your qualifications and relevant training. Please copy this information into the box field provided.

4. Personal statement up to 500 words. Further details around what this will entail are listed on the application form.

When giving details in your employment history and personal statement you should highlight your experience in line with theessential criterialisted inthe Person Specification.

The sift panel will use the information in your employment history and personal statement to assess your experience, skills and knowledge against the essential criteria above.

You will receive one combined score for both your Employment History/CV and Personal Statement, which will be provided in your Personal Statement score.

Stage 2: Interview

If youre successful at sift stage you will be invited to a video interview via Microsoft Teams. There, you will be assessed against the experiences listed in the interview essential criteria.

After interview, a single merit list will be created and you will only be considered for posts in locations you have expressed a preference for. Appointments will be made in strict merit order in line with the set number of roles in each location.
