We have a Race and Belonging Employee Resource Group to assist in driving racial inclusivity at Brit.
This helps us to ensure that people of all races, ethnicities and cultures can feel that they belong.
Our Employee Resource Group meets regularly to discuss topics and challenges and raise suggestions for change through to the Inclusion and Diversity Committee.
Hear directly from four of our Race and Belonging Champions who have put together a short video to explain what they do to drive inclusion at Brit and why it’s so important. Thank you to Jonathan Mudd, Rashidat Ali, Aasaa O'Mallo-Mitchell and Hanan Guthmy for sharing your experiences.
As part of our commitment to Race equality at Brit, we formed a partnership with the African-Caribbean Insurance Network. This allows us to work closely with ACIN to attract new graduate talent, promoting the insurance profession amongst students from black and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. The partnership will also be aimed at supporting and empowering BAME community members already working within the insurance industry, providing a range of tailored networking events and opportunities.
We’re pleased to continue our partnership with ACIN | African-Caribbean Insurance Network into a second year. Throughout 2021 we’ve seen positive progress towards our shared goal of improving ethnic diversity and representation in the London insurance market. Our collaboration will move from strength to strength in 2022, with events and education workshops set to take place this year, as well as continued participation from our colleagues at Brit in ACIN’s initiatives. It’s a vital strand of our commitment to inclusivity and diversity as a company to advance our goal of shaping an inclusive workplace.
