About NATS   

NATS provides air traffic control services in the UK and internationally, ensuring aircraft can travel safely and efficiently.

Every single day we impact the lives of thousands of people. Our activities are woven into the experiences that people who take to the skies have in their every journey and our performance filters through to the airports, airlines and even governments.

Our job is not solely to keep the skies safe. It’s every bit as important that we bring about fundamental advancements in aviation. Discovering new ways to make the system work more smoothly; being ingenious in our thinking and delivery; finding the most efficient systems for the skies; unlocking capacity where it exists.

Guiding over 2.5 million flights (2019) - carrying some 240 million passengers - is no mean feat – and neither is supporting our customers around the world meet their objectives to increase safety, capacity or efficiency in their airport operations. Thanks to a combination of state-of-the-art technology and the expertise and dedication of our amazing people, that's what we achieve over the course of a year. And it’s what makes NATS such an interesting, exciting and rewarding place to work.

NATS are often recruiting for trainee air traffic controllers, but what does that process look like and what kind of career can successful candidates look forward to?
