Center Parcs Scottish Borders: First Trees Planted at New Scotland Site

The first trees have been planted at Center Parcs Scottish Borders
Today marked an important milestone for our new village as we planted some of the very first trees on site at Center Parcs Scottish Borders.
We were delighted to welcome students from Trinity Primary School and Stirches Primary School, alongside First Minister John Swinney, to help us get started. Our CEO Colin McKinlay and John Swinney planted a mature tree together before the students joined in to plant the first saplings - the beginning of what will eventually become hundreds of thousands of trees across the site.
The trees have been sourced locally by Alba Trees, using seed collected across the Borders to support strong, resilient woodland and biodiversity.
Each student also took home a silver birch sapling, symbolising new beginnings - a fitting way to mark this first step towards our first village in Scotland.
