Skip to main contentOn Thursday 27th April 2017, gradireland hosted their 11th annual Graduate Recruitment Awards at The Mansion House, Dublin. The Awards celebrate the companies providing the best careers for Ireland’s Graduates. This year, the Awards introduced a new ranking system for some categories, which acknowledge the quality of submissions as gold, silver or bronze. The Awards are split into two cohorts, one where companies are nominated for certain awards with a judging process, the other voted for by students.
Of diversityjobs’ members, PwC has dominated the list this year being awarded Silver for Best Graduate Training and Development Programme – Specialist/Professional Training Programmes, and Best Internship Programme >50 intake, whilst being placed seventh on the Most Popular Graduate Recruiter list as voted for by students. PwC were shortlisted as a desirable recruiter to students in the Accountancy/Professional Services category. Plus, they were also shortlisted for Best Graduate Recruitment Website and Graduate Employer of the Year, sponsored by the Irish Management Institute.
Ericsson also did well winning a Silver award in the Best Innovation on Campus, sponsored by cut-e, category, and were shortlisted in the Best Internship Programme <50 intake category. BT also featured in the final shortlist for these two awards, as well as for Best Graduate Training and Development Programme – Specialist/Professional Training Programmes, Graduate Employee of the Year, sponsored by Engage Communications, and Graduate Employer of the Year, sponsored by the Irish Management Institute. In the student voting, BT was shortlisted for Best Employer in Online Retail Services and Telecoms sector along with Sky.
Department for Education was the overall winner of the student vote for Best Employer in the Public Service/Publicly Funded Bodies sector. Morgan Stanley was shortlisted under Banking, Investment and Financial Services, SAP made the IT shortlist, GSK were listed under Science, and Eversheds featured in the Law list.
We are extremely proud of our members for being recognised for their efforts to encourage young people into careers within their sectors.
