We are implementing an innovative delivery strategy and disaggregated delivery model, meaning we require various Project Managers for our design, civil and building packages.

- Ensuring the project adheres to our Safety Management Systems, best practices and the SSE Large Capital Projects (LCP) Governance processes.

- Provide guidance and demonstrate our core values. Manage teams, ensuring these are highly capable, well-motivated, and organised to deliver consistent excellence.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we'd love you to have:

- A proven track record of safely delivering packages of work or projects to cost, schedule and quality in the Transmission, Construction, Energy, or other regulated industry / the wider utilities sector.

- People management experience and a passion for safety, with an understanding of project management methodology and practice to lead a multi-discipline team to success coupled with an engineering, construction, or project management qualification / degree or equivalent experience is required.

- Engineering or construction knowledge and understanding, including the associated environmental and safety legislation e.g. the CDM 2015 regulations.

- Contractual management experience (NEC3 experience is preferable), with the ability to forecast and control costs as well as develop and manage integrated project programmes

- Experience of the governance, reporting, and management requirements for project and/or programmes of work in a regulated environment, with prior budget responsibilities, ideally in excess of £5m.

Lack experience but are still interested?

If you have a background in project management within another industry or are looking to move into a project management role, please do apply. We may be able to offer an Assistant Project Manager role with the ability to transition to a Project Manager role once the necessary experience has been gained.
