Partnerships Manager

The Partnerships & Alliances team at Thomson Reuters is responsible for end-to-end management of strategic partnerships across our primary customer segments. From strategy development, through assessment, recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing partner management; the Partnerships and Alliances team oversees the lifecycle of engaging partners with a focus on driving sustainable growth and heightened customer satisfaction through partner collaboration.

The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for collaborating with team members, colleagues, and partners to support sales achievement with strategic partners in Europe who engage in co-selling of implementation services alongside Thomson Reuters products & services. The ideal candidate is sales-focused with a growth mindset, obsessed with achieving goals by placing customers and partners at the center of focus.

About the Role

In this opportunity, you will:

  • Be responsible for meeting and exceeding defined sales quota targets for Thomson Reuters most strategic technology partners and system integrators
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders at partner firms and grow the sell-with book of business
  • Serve as a primary member of the sales ecosystem supporting relationship building, opportunity development, deal progression and closure
  • Lead collaboration efforts between Thomson Reuters and partner firms to proactively develop and execute a strategy for growing the pipeline of mutual sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Segment Marketing to plan, develop and execute demand generation initiatives in collaboration with partners
  • Engage the Thomson Reuters direct sales teams to articulate the unique value of each partner and support their understanding of how working with partners can benefit their customers
  • Engage the Partner sales team to promote Thomson Reuters products and services; helping them understand how collaboration can benefit their clients and lead to more sales opportunities
  • Support deal closure by identifying roadblocks and working across organizations to remove barriers
  • Keep partners apprised of product strategy and roadmaps and collect input and feedback to support ongoing refinement of product and go-to-market strategies
  • Address challenges and issues arising from partner engagement; minimizing customer impact while balancing stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Lead monthly/quarterly/annual business reviews with partners helping shape the ongoing strategy and business plans for each partner
  • Define quarterly and annual Objectives and Key Results for partners and overseeing execution against those metrics
  • Provide routine pipeline, forecast, and goal achievement updates to executive leadership team


About You

You are a candidate for this opportunity if you have:

  • Experiences in a similar role in Alliance or Partner Management, relationship management, building partner eco-systems or related field experience ideally working with SaaS technology companies and/or consulting firms or system integrators
  • Experience in building collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Product Management working closely within a global organization
  • Proven track record to drive sales through partnership channels across technology and services industries
  • Exceptional strategic relationship account management and consultative sales skills across multiple sectors / segments with a focus on growing the size of each account
  • Success in direct and / or virtual leadership of global teams, across multiple geographies and business lines
  • Partner-oriented mindset; the ability to listen to partners and consistently follow through on commitments
  • Collaborative personality; comfortable working across many functions and teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Expert technology acumen; deep understanding of current technology trends, market drivers and business cases
  • Ability to effectively navigate and perform in dynamic environments and periodically travel to meet with partners or attend partner events
  • Bachelor's degree
