Flexible and Hybrid Working at Thomson Reuters

We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected.

We understand that life is a fine-tuned balancing act. The many demands on our time affect how we feel and perform at work and at home. Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to make it easier to manage your personal and professional responsibilities whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or simply finding time to refresh and reset. The program builds upon Thomson Reuters flexible work arrangements and hybrid model, empowering employees to achieve a better work-life balance. The following benefits are available under Flex My Way:

  • Work from Anywhere - A flexible work arrangement that offers you the opportunity to work in a different location for up to eight weeks per year, with up to four of those weeks in another country.
  • Sabbatical Leave - Gives you the opportunity to take an extended break from work and spend that time any way you like. Employees with at least three years of service can take a minimum of 1 month up to a maximum of 6 months of unpaid time off once every 5 years.
  • Caregiver Paid Time Off - Receive up to 10 business days of paid time off to care for an immediate family member in the event of a serious medical condition resulting from an injury or illness.
  • Enhanced Bereavement Leave - Receive up to 10 business days of paid time off to grieve, attend funeral services, and address personal matters related to the loss of an immediate family member, or up to three business days of paid time off for extended family.
  • Parental Leave - Effective April 1, 2023, we launched a new TR global minimum standard for parental leave. Eligible employees who welcome a child through birth or adoption will receive at least 16 weeks of paid leave, 17 weeks for birthing parents. This benefit applies to all new parents, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, or family role. Giving parents more time to settle into parenthood has a positive impact on the family's physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing.
