Job Title: Health & Safety Manager

Division: UK Fit Out

Location: London

Role purpose

A great opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our UK Fit Out Division where you will be working across some outstanding projects in the commercial fit out market in London.

The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for health and safety within London Fit Out and on occasion specific Client Frameworks and individual projects within the ISG Group of businesses (with mutual agreement), ensuring that the company is fully discharging its legal duties as stipulated by relevant Statutory Instruments, Codes of Practice and Guidance.

As part of the UK Fit Out Health and Safety Department you will be accountable and report to the Head of Health and Safety and be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety covering your allocated projects within the UK, projects that are part of Client Framework Agreements and other projects (with mutual agreement) within the ISG Group of Businesses.

Key accountabilities
  • Implement and maintain the aims and objectives of the Company Health and Safety policy and Health and Safety Management System taking account of changes in legislation, best practice and Codes of Practice.
  • Provide timely and appropriate recommendations to the London Fit Out business and advise the Directors responsible for each project, of arrangements and strategy for safety management.
  • Chair monthly London Fit Out Health and Safety meetings; provide minutes and progress actions as necessary.
  • Provide innovative Health and Safety solutions and communications, particularly 'lessons learnt' and Health and Safety schemes via the Health and Safety Bulletin Board.
Key Deliverables
  • Identify and assist with research and development of new legislation and codes of practices.
  • Assisting in the review and monitoring of the company management systems.
  • Prepare and compile data for the annual company management review of Health & Safety.

Qualifications
  • Qualified to basic NEBOSH certificate and Construction NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
  • Qualified or working towards NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ4
