Join us as Trainer in Firecraft at Capita's Fire Service College

We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Trainers to join our experienced and knowledgeable team onsite at the Fire Service College (FSC) Providing support and development across a wide variety of FSC courses, fire and rescue and rescue service qualifications and wider private sector training.

This role will be 40 hours per week with the flexibility to work some weekends. Hours/days may differ week to week.

Job Description:

What you will be doing:

• Training groups of delegates in Firecraft in both classroom and practical environments
• Instructing mostly in Breathing Apparatus, Fire Behaviors Training and Tactical Ventilation
• Ongoing assessment of delegates
• Acting as Safety Officer during live fire exercises - always promoting a positive attitude towards the development and maintenance of Health and Safety culture

What we are looking for:

• Accredited Breathing Apparatus (BA) Instructor (Essential)
• Accredited Fire Behavior Training Instructor (FBTI) (Desirable)
• Accredited Tactical Ventilation Instructor (desirable)
• Previous teaching experience within firefighting
• Previous experience in local authority Fire & Rescue Service is desirable
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written
• Basic understanding of IT Systems experience (MS Office)
