Role purpose
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to become the key finance team member responsible for administering the ERP (Business Central) and associated finance systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the consistency and adherence to governance around key finance systems is maintained.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow the role and help support the success of the finance function by actively working with the IT System Support Team and SME's across the business on regular systems updates, identifying and implement efficiency opportunities along with other future system integrations.

Key accountabilities
Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the finance function to act as support in the exploration and implementation of systems related process improvements.

  • Maintain excellent relationships with the wider finance function and the IT Systems Support Team to support good collaboration between finance and IT.


ERP

  • Maintenance of role permissions sets, regular audits of setup and support the business in ensuring adherence to structure.

  • Regularly review licence allocations/availability and ensure there is adequate capacity.

  • Maintain approval levels in the system, flagging any conflicts with ISG Governance.

  • Responsible for maintaining elements for master data such as coding and business structures.

  • Support with accounting setup relating to accounting periods and changes in tax rates.

  • Partner to the System Support Team and the business on changes to the system including identify where changes may impact, testing etc.

  • Maintain documentation of relevant systems processes associated with the role to support ISMS and UK SOX


SmartSource

  • Help resolve interface issues between SmartSource and the ERP system.

  • Support regular reviews and structures around user access in conjunction with the SmartSource support team.


Other
Additional ad hoc systems related tasks as deemed appropriate.
Support knowledge in relation to the finance systems across the business.
Support in instilling a culture of robust control and efficiency throughout the finance related systems.

Skills & experience

  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrable excellent written communication skills.

  • Able to challenge the status quo.

  • A structured and organised approach to work, self-motivated, with the ability to manage own workload meeting deadlines and ensuring successful completion of tasks.

  • Keen problem solver, experience with query resolution advantageous.

  • Interest in business systems and strong drive to ensure the efficiency of those.

  • Experience of workflow-based systems.

  • Experience of using ERP systems, Business Central experience an advantage.

  • Good level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other supporting MS Office 365 products.

  • Transactional processing experience advantageous.

  • Experience of systems upgrades/implementations essential.


Qualifications
Specialist qualifications not required but demonstrable continuing professional development is key.
